SOLD above-asking price in just a few days. This is how I did it.

The great upside-down misconception about sales is that it is an effort to GET something from others. The truth is that sales at its best —at its most effective — is precisely the opposite: it is about GIVING.”

Bob Burg & David Mann from the book ‘The Go-Giver’

An excerpt that genuinely describes the sale of this two-bedroom Cable Beach condo. I was contacted by a seller that wanted a sale for their condo and wanted it at that very moment. However, the unit was rented and it was important to respect the tenants’ privacy so the window of opportunity to show the unit was small to say the least. The seller trusted my plan to “right price” the property and hold a public Open House which was coincidently held on Thanksgiving weekend.  Aptly coined, “Thanksgiving Open House,” it was a huge success; we received multiple offers & closed $11k over the original asking price. Needless to say, the buyer was happy to pay a full commission for the value she received and a quick closing.

There are similar stories by salespersons all over the globe. The National Association of Realtors has even dedicated an entire section of their website to helping buyers and sellers navigate a multi-offer situations. It comes down to trust, and a great agent is easy to trust. While you may not personally know them, you can trust their experience. My end goal, resulting in a sale or not, is to give from that experience and devote time to my clients’ interest.
